A Degree in Business Computing combines IT and Business Skills
A Bachelor’s degree in Business Computing is a combination of various IT and business-related skills and enables students to create an interface between the IT world and the business world. With this knowledge, graduates are able to understand the business environment within which information systems have to function as well as to recognize the needs of users and to develop and implement IT-based solutions to businesses.
You’ll be able, with your IT expertise, to keep businesses running, and develop products and services that are competitive. You’ll be taught how to work with a range of IT tools including web development, programming and databases, as well as gaining the broader IT skills that employers look for including teamwork, problem-solving and collaboration.
The course is closely tied to the industry. Every year, guest lecturers from engineering partners and IT partners share their knowledge and work with you on real-world briefs. You’ll also have the chance to participate in a work placement and choose the location and time according to your preferences and career goals.
